Rihanna has officially introduced Fenty Beauty to the Indian market, marking the brand’s long-anticipated debut in the country. The launch has been facilitated through Reliance Retail, with the rollout accompanied by a private luncheon hosted by the Ambani family.
As part of its India entry, the brand will be available via Reliance’s beauty platform Tira, along with distribution through global retailer Sephora. The move further positions Tira as a key access point for international beauty labels looking to establish a presence in India.
During her visit, Rihanna was received at the Ambani residence, where the gathering showcased elements of Indian culture through curated dance performances, traditional art forms, and heritage-led presentations. The visit also included a stop at the family’s temple, where she was seen participating in customary prayers.
Founded in 2017 in collaboration with LVMH, Fenty Beauty quickly gained global traction for its inclusive approach to makeup. Its initial foundation launch featured 40 shades, setting a new benchmark for diversity within the beauty industry.
This marks Rihanna’s return to Mumbai following her visit in 2024 for the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, further strengthening the brand’s association with high-profile cultural moments in India.
