Returning from March 18 to 21, 2027, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna marks six decades with a comprehensive reorganisation of exhibition spaces designed to sharpen sector focus and enhance business outcomes.

Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna has announced its return from March 18 to 21, 2027, with the edition carrying the full weight of a significant milestone: 60 years since the event was founded. To mark the occasion, the organisers have unveiled a comprehensive reorganisation of the exhibition layout, designed to make navigation more intuitive, strengthen sector identities, and create more targeted business connections across the global cosmetics industry.

The anniversary is more than a symbolic occasion. Six decades of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna represent six decades of the beauty industry’s most significant transformations, from the emergence of modern professional haircare and the globalisation of cosmetic manufacturing, to the rise of indie beauty, sustainability-led formulation, and the integration of technology across every part of the supply chain. Cosmoprof has not simply witnessed these shifts. It has helped shape the language, business models, and international relationships that define the industry today.

The 2026 edition set a high benchmark. The event welcomed 3,104 exhibitors from 68 countries, 80 percent of whom were international, alongside more than 255,000 industry professionals from 155 countries, with international visitors accounting for 53 percent of total attendance. The scale and diversity of that participation has directly informed the 2027 layout changes, which are designed to serve an increasingly international and specialised professional audience more effectively.

The reorganisation introduces clearer distinctions between retail and professional distribution channels, making it easier for visitors to navigate directly to the sectors most relevant to their business. In the Professional Hair sector, Halls 31, 32, and 33 retain their current configuration, while companies previously in Hall 25 move to Hall 37, which becomes the main hub for the sector. On Hair Show relocates to Unipol Hall, a new multifunctional venue developed in the area previously occupied by Hall 35.

The Beauty and Spa sector consolidates in Halls 25 and 26, with direct access from the Service Centre supporting both exhibition quality and visitor flow. NailWorld becomes more concentrated, with exhibitors located primarily in Unipol Hall, Outdoor Area 38, and part of Hall 27N. Within Cosmetics and Fragrances, Hall 30 becomes the new hub for skincare and makeup, adding approximately 1,000 additional square metres, while Hall 36 hosts the complete fragrances and personal care offering.

Cosmoprime undergoes one of the most significant repositionings, moving from Hall 14 to the more visible and accessible Hall 29, continuing to host premium brands with selective distribution across high-end cosmetics, perfumery, and beauty lifestyle. The Extraordinary Gallery, Beauty Tech Area, Italian Start Up zone, and Buyer Lounge also move to Hall 29, reinforcing the area as a hub for innovation and excellence.

Cosmopack, covering raw materials, ingredients, contract manufacturing, packaging, and machinery, retains its presence in Halls 15, 15A, 18, 19, and 20, while Chinese companies operating in contract manufacturing, packaging, and accessories consolidate in Hall 14 to create a more identifiable and accessible specialised hub.

Enrico Zannini, General Manager of BolognaFiere Cosmoprof, described the new layout as part of a development strategy aimed at making the event more effective, accessible, and responsive to the needs of a constantly evolving international market.

For India’s salon and beauty industry, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna remains the world’s most significant professional beauty gathering. The 2027 edition’s structural evolution signals the event’s intent to deliver an even more focused and commercially productive experience for the global beauty community it serves.
