Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is now the global brand ambassador for JW Marriott, marking a new collaboration between the luxury hospitality brand and one of India’s most recognised global personalities. The partnership supports JW Marriott’s “Stay in the Moment” platform, which centres on mindful travel, personal well-being and meaningful guest experiences.
The announcement comes as India continues to play an increasingly important role in the global luxury travel landscape. With more than 130 properties worldwide, JW Marriott identified India as a key growth market, noting the rapid rise of outbound luxury travellers from the country as well as growing demand for premium domestic hospitality experiences.
Part of Marriott International, JW Marriott said the association aligns with its commitment to helping guests feel refreshed, nourished and fully engaged with their surroundings during their travels. The brand’s “Stay in the Moment” philosophy draws inspiration from the legacy of J. Willard Marriott and encourages travellers to embrace experiences that support physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who won the Miss World title in 1994 and has represented international brands including L’Oréal Paris and Longines, stated that travel has played an important role in both her personal and professional life. She shared that the most memorable journeys are often defined by moments of presence and connection, adding that JW Marriott’s focus on purposeful travel and mindfulness resonated strongly with her. She also expressed her appreciation for representing a brand that places equal emphasis on intention and meaningful experiences.
Commenting on the partnership, Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader at JW Marriott, said Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s international appeal, authenticity and enduring influence made her a strong fit for the brand. He added that her thoughtful approach reflects the way many guests choose to travel today, while the collaboration also reinforces JW Marriott’s commitment to strengthening its presence in India and other markets shaped by Indian travellers.
The partnership reflects a shared focus on intentional luxury and further highlights India’s growing influence within the global travel and hospitality industry.
