Professional hairdressing brand TONI&GUY has entered a new phase of growth in North and West India, with its salon network now exceeding 110 outlets across this region. Alongside increasing its physical footprint, the company is investing in service innovation, advanced consultation tools and professional education to strengthen its position in the country’s evolving beauty market.
Recent additions to the network include centres in cities such as Modinagar, Gorakhpur, Alwar, Danapur, Bilaspur, Barnala, Surat, Faridabad and Gurugram. The company is also preparing to enter additional markets in Punjab and Gujarat as part of its ongoing development plans.
While expansion remains a priority, the brand is placing equal emphasis on improving the customer journey inside salons. New initiatives include upgraded diagnostic and consultation practices, enhanced technical learning programmes for stylists and a broader portfolio of hair, scalp and skin-focused treatments.
A significant part of this effort involves integrating emerging technologies and specialised wellness services. Through its association with skincare brand Dermalogica, the company has introduced services such as red-light-based treatments, which are increasingly being explored for concerns related to skin appearance and recovery. The brand has also refined its approach to hair colouring in response to changing client preferences, with greater interest in subtle tones and lower-maintenance colour results.
According to Sonali Bhambri, Director, TONI&GUY Master Franchisee, North-West India, the company’s current strategy extends beyond opening new addresses. She added that maintaining technical excellence across the network remains a key objective, supported by ongoing investments in education, service systems and new technologies. Bhambri said that consumers are now more knowledgeable about beauty services, making continuous upskilling and innovation increasingly important for salon operators.
Training continues to play a central role in the company’s growth model. Structured learning programmes help teams stay updated on international techniques, emerging trends and evolving client expectations.
As competition intensifies across India’s organised salon sector, TONI&GUY’s latest initiatives suggest a dual focus on scale and education-forward systems.
