Priya Nair joins the league of Indian executives as the President of the Beauty & Wellbeing segment on Unilever Leadership Executive (ULE), a team comprising of international C-level executives who lead the British international. With this elevation, Priya takes the tally of Indian-born executives to three on ULE. She is also the second Indian-born woman appointed to ULE following Leena Nair who recently exited to head Chanel as global CEO. The other two existing Indian executives on ULE are Nitin Paranjpe, Chief People and Transformation Officer, and Rohit Jawa, CEO and MD of the Indian subsidiary Hindustan Unilever.
Slated to take charge from 1st January 2024, Priya currently holds the position of Chief Marketing Officer of Beauty and Wellbeing in the company. In the race to succession, Priya is all set to replace Fernando Fernandez who will take charge as the CFO of Unilever . Other major changes in the top leadership include Peter ter Kulve, elevated to the position of New President ice cream. Currently, he is the President of the Home Care segment.
Hein Schumacher, CEO, Unilever, affirmed that Priya will bring world-class marketing skills, immense frontline experience and represent the new generation of Unilever leaders. The CEO welcomed the changes in the leadership of Unilever and asserted that these modifications will bring about positivity in the roles each of them will handle.
