Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI has planned to return with 2 editions in 2023. Lakme Fashion week and Fashion Design Council of India’s (FDCI) joint venture will hold their spring edition from March 9-12 in Mumbai and from October 11-15 in Delhi.
FDCI’s Chairman, Sunil Sethi hopes for this event to be just the platform that designer’s need. It will help them express their creativity and also promote their business.
About the joint venture, Sunil Sethi said, ““FDCI has leaped forward and created a distinct space for the Indian design repertoire, and the partnership with LFW only makes it more robust,” as reported by Apparel Resources.
Lakme Fashion week and Fashion Design Council of India joined hands during the pandemic and merged their individual contents and design contests into a combined phygital showcase. After the success of their joint editions in 2022, Lakme Fashion week x FDCI aim to make their event even bigger in 2023.
FDCI has started accepting applicants for its design contest by posting an announcement on Facebook- NEXA presents ‘The Spotlight’. FDCI said that this initiative allows designers to showcase their collection in the form of an immersive fashion presentation. The winning designer will receive an award of Rs. 5 Lakh towards their showcase.
