Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated that J&K could become the next leader in Wellness Ayurveda. He made this revealation while addressing the Government Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Akhnoor during Ayurveda Day. The state has a wide array of medicinal and aromatic plants that are essential ingredients in Ayurveda.
He believed that including Yoga, Ayurveda and other Indian Systems of Medicine into the main public health system is an assured way of a healthy life. It is important to promote traditional medicine systems and make people aware of Ayurveda for a sustainable healthcare ecosystem. This demands the attention of doctors and other concerned members. He assured the college of complete support to improve the facilities and has asked the college to start PG courses.
