Honasa Consumer Ltd, owner of FMCG brands such as The Derma Co. and Mamaearth is all set to acquire more brands that have good growth potential to leverage the increasing consumer spending due to higher income levels.
According to Honasa Consumer, Chairman and CEO Varun Alagh, BPC will continue to be the company’s area of interest with a special focus on makeup and other parts of the segment. They would like to venture into other exciting categories they are not present in so far. At present, the company has six brands in its portfolio and now wants to fill the white spaces in these brands. It might launch a few brands too. Honasa Consumer is looking at going the organic way for new brands but might think of acquisition if a good opportunity comes by.
