Louis Vuitton has expanded its luxury universe beyond fashion and fragrance with the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, its first full makeup line. This was developed under the creative direction of legendary makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath, blending artistry with Vuitton’s hallmark craftsmanship. The collection, arriving on August 29 with pre-orders available from August 25, represents a significant step for the house after 171 years of heritage.
The debut features 55 lipstick shades, 10 tinted balms, and 8 curated eyeshadow palettes. Each product incorporates nourishing elements such as shea butter, camellia oil, and hyaluronic acid, while also carrying a subtle fragrance composed by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud.
Packaging is designed by Konstantin Grcic, echoing the maison’s iconic trunks and adorned with monogram or Damier patterns. The cases are refillable, underscoring Vuitton’s focus on sustainable luxury. Accessories, including leather brush holders and miniature lipstick trunks, elevate the line into collectable territory.
Prices reinforce its rarefied positioning: lipsticks at USD 160, eyeshadow palettes at USD 250, and refills ranging from USD 69 to 92. Availability will be limited to select Louis Vuitton boutiques, prestigious department stores, and exclusive pop-ups in cities such as London, New York, and Seoul.
For the brand, the launch signals more than cosmetic expansion. With fashion sales slowing in 2025, Louis Vuitton is positioning beauty as a new channel to captivate younger consumers seeking entry into its world of prestige, while reinforcing its dominance in luxury culture.
