Lakmé Academy Powered by Aptech, India’s leading beauty training institute, was named the Official Beauty Education Partner for Miss Universe India 2025, held on August 18 in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Nearly 300 students from the academy worked backstage in makeup, styling, grooming, and coordination, gaining real-world exposure at one of India’s most prestigious pageants.

Nikhil Anand, President of Glamanand Group, organizers of Miss Universe India, called the tie-up a benchmark for industry–academia partnerships, adding that it elevated the overall contestant experience.
A highlight of the collaboration was a masterclass by Gayetri Chakravarthy, National Creative Director at Lakmé Lever Pvt. Ltd., who trained contestants in grooming, styling, and presentation.
At the finale, Lakmé Academy honoured Ojasvi Sharma with the “Next Gen Glam Award for Best Hair and Makeup” for her creativity and artistry on stage.
Regional rounds leading up to the finale also featured advanced beauty masterclasses, sharpening students’ skills in high-fashion looks, backstage etiquette, and photoshoot prep.
Through this collaboration, Lakmé Academy Powered by Aptech reaffirmed its mission to create industry-ready beauty professionals, equipped to excel on both national and global platforms.
