Anita Lal, founder of Good Earth, has introduced a premium skincare line, Iti,
marking her entry into the beauty segment. The name, drawn from Sanskrit and
translating to “as it is,” reflects the brand’s philosophy of simplicity and authenticity.
After an initial release on its own e-commerce platform earlier this month, the line
became available in Good Earth stores from April 28.

Lal indicated that the range has been in development for over two decades, shaped
by repeated experimentation and refinement to achieve both efficacy and balance.
She described the process as iterative, involving multiple revisions to fine-tune
performance and formulation outcomes.

Rooted in Himalayan inspiration, the collection centres on botanical and naturally
derived ingredients. Among the key offerings are the Avena Rose Intense
Moisturising Cream and a Damask Rosewater mist, both positioned within the
premium segment. Production is handled entirely in-house, with an emphasis on
locally sourced inputs rather than scaled manufacturing.

The initial retail rollout is focused on dedicated spaces within select Good Earth
stores in Delhi and Gurgaon, with a Mumbai launch planned later this year. A
broader expansion across India and into the Middle East is in the pipeline, with
potential distribution through luxury spas and hotels also under consideration.

Positioned around ritual-led skincare and holistic wellbeing, the formulations
incorporate therapeutic-grade essential oils intended to support both skin health
and sensory experience. Lal noted that the brand’s approach prioritises restraint
over excess, aligning with a growing consumer preference for simplified routines.

The launch comes amid increasing global interest in India’s beauty market, with
several international brands entering the space in recent years. Lal expressed
confidence that Iti’s grounding in trust, alongside Good Earth’s established
reputation, would help differentiate it in a competitive landscape increasingly driven
by ingredient trends and evolving consumer awareness.
