Dyson Beauty has introduced Dyson Amino, a new leave-in scalp bubble treatment developed to support scalp barrier health while hydrating and strengthening hair across all hair and scalp types. The foaming formulation has been clinically tested and shown to significantly reduce excess oil with regular use, while offering immediate comfort and protection from environmental stressors. The brand positions the launch around the idea that long-term hair health begins at the scalp.
Central to the product is the Dyson Amino11 blend, which combines barley grown through Dyson Farming with a curated mix of 11 amino acids. The barley used in the formulation is rich in nutrients that support scalp condition and hair fibre strength, including vitamins, minerals such as iron and zinc, and antioxidants. These components are intended to nourish hair follicles, enhance scalp resilience, and contribute to healthier-looking hair over time.
Founder and chief engineer James Dyson has explained that the product reflects the company’s belief that scientific research underpins both agriculture and beauty innovation. He has noted that by cultivating barley on Dyson-owned farms, the brand is able to closely control ingredient quality and unlock its amino acid profile to help reinforce scalp hydration and barrier function. According to him, this approach marks a shift from purely engineered solutions to formulations that are grown, tested, and refined from the ground up.
Dyson has highlighted that scalp concerns such as oiliness, itchiness, and flaking are often signs of a compromised scalp barrier, which can ultimately affect hair growth and density. While many traditional treatments may feel heavy or greasy, Dyson Amino is designed as a lightweight foam that transforms into a serum, allowing for precise, non-sticky application.
Additional skincare-grade ingredients, including niacinamide, Ectoin Natural, and caffeine, have been incorporated to further support barrier strength and scalp vitality. With continued use, the brand reports visible improvements in hair fall and density, alongside enhanced scalp comfort.
The launch of Dyson Amino completes Dyson’s formulation ecosystem, joining its existing ranges for styling and conditioning to offer a more holistic, end-to-end approach to hair and scalp care.
