- Vurve Salon has opened Vurve Aesthetics in Adyar, Chennai, its first doctor-led medspa and the brand’s formal entry into clinical aesthetics, led by Principal Consultant Dr. Rameshwari with over 15 years of regenerative aesthetics experience.
- The clinic operates on a diagnosis-first framework, with every client undergoing a professional assessment before any treatment recommendation, marking a deliberate departure from the machine-led, menu-driven model common in the aesthetics industry.
Vurve Salon, one of South India’s most respected company-owned hair salon chains, has opened Vurve Aesthetics in Adyar, Chennai, marking its formal entry into clinical aesthetics through a doctor-led medspa built on a philosophy of diagnosis before treatment. The launch represents a significant evolution for a brand that has spent a decade building one of the region’s most trusted salon networks, and signals a clear conviction that the future of premium beauty lies at the intersection of clinical expertise and genuine hospitality.
Founded in 2015, Vurve Salon operates 15 company-owned salons across Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kochi, supported by three Vurve Academy training centres. The group has maintained a fully company-owned and company-operated model throughout its growth, an intentional departure from the franchise-driven expansion that has characterised much of India’s organised salon sector. That same rigour has been applied to Vurve Aesthetics. Rather than attaching a treatment room to an existing salon, Vurve has built a separate clinic with a dedicated clinical team, distinct operational standards, and a medical framework that stands entirely on its own terms.
The impetus for the launch reflects a reality most salon operators recognise. Clients increasingly arrive with concerns that are beyond a salon’s scope e.g. persistent pigmentation, hair thinning, textural skin damage etc. and are referred elsewhere. Vurve Aesthetics is built to keep that conversation within the brand, with a clinical team qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat.
At the centre of the clinic’s philosophy is what Vurve describes as Science Backed by a Culture of Care. Every client visit begins with a professional assessment rather than a treatment booking, with protocols developed from bespoke skin and hair diagnostics rather than a standardised service menu. The distinction matters. As Dr. Rameshwari, Principal Consultant for Skin and Hair, noted, two clients presenting with the same visible concern may need entirely different treatment pathways. The first appointment, she emphasised, is an assessment, not a treatment, and that commitment to individual diagnosis changes outcomes more than any technology the clinic owns.
Dr. Rameshwari brings over 15 years of clinical experience in regenerative aesthetics from Dubai, with expertise spanning PRP, exosome-based treatments, GFC therapy, HIFU, RF microneedling, botulinum toxin, and fillers. The clinic’s technology investment is equally considered, with HydraFacial Allegro using patented Vortex technology, Sylfirm X RF microneedling for rejuvenation and collagen stimulation, and Gentle YAG Pro by Candela for laser hair removal.
Services span Medifacials, chemical peels, laser hair removal, PRP and advanced hair restoration, RF microneedling, injectables, semi-permanent makeup, and IV infusion therapies.
Rebecca Samuel of Vurve Salon described the clinic as a deliberate and separate undertaking. The intention was never to add machines to a salon floor and present it as aesthetics. Vurve Aesthetics exists as a distinct clinical environment because, in the brand’s view, that is the only version worth putting its name on.
For India’s salon industry, Vurve Aesthetics offers a compelling model of how established salon brands can enter clinical aesthetics with integrity, building on client trust rather than simply capitalising on it.
