Wella Company has introduced a new sustainable version of the WELLOXON PERFECT salon colour developer. The new product infuses sustainability through formula, packaging materials, transportation, and in-salon use.
The new formula is vegan and does not have any ingredients derived from animals. It doesn’t even have mineral oil which is made from non-renewable fossil fuels. Additionally, it is the first product in the cosmetics and beauty industry that uses carbon-reduced hydrogen peroxide, which reduces carbon emissions as compared to hydrogen peroxide used in the earlier version.
The product packaginguses 70% of post-consumer recycled plastic and is 100% recyclable, except for its safety seal. The R&D stylists and Education team at Wella have developed a new way of rinsing the colour off that saves upto 6 liters of water for every colour service where rinsing is needed. Even transportation is more sustainable as the newly designed bottle shape allows more bottles to fit into a transport pallet, thereby reducing the transport pallet required to ship the products by about 25%. With all these changes, the new WELLOXON PERFECT salon colour developer reduces the overall climate and water impact by 18%.
Salons can use a combination of WELLOXON PERFECT developer with Wella Professionals vegan color lines Koleston Perfectiv, Blondorplex, and Illumina Color as a more sustainable colour service.
