Plum Goodness, a leading vegan beauty brand, is on a product expansion path adding perfumes and fragrances to its product line-up. It has also introduced sunscreens, eye shadow palettes, and eye shadow sticks amongst many other products. On the anvil in 3-6 months is the launch of Kajal Pencil in multiple shades along with new products in its skincare and makeup segments.
In 2023, the brand ventured into the baby care category using avocado as the hero ingredient. According to Shankar Prasad, Founder & CEO at Plum Goodness, the segment is performing well but the focus now is on core categories like hair, skin, bath and body, as well as makeup. Even, Plum’s men’s brand is going through major innovation, adding more products to the line-up and will be launched in its refurbished avatar June-July 2024.
Shankar added that that since its inception, Plum has focused on addressing diverse skincare requirements of people in a natural way. It continues to work on these values. It is open to customer feedback on its products and addresses their issues in a scientific manner. Transparency of ingredients is of utmost importance to the brand and it only works with manufacturers who can comply with government rules and provide claims that can be supported. Even in packaging the brand uses recycled materials as much as possible. In fact, it motivates customers to send back empty containers that can be recycled.
