L’Oreal plans to acquire the outstanding shares of Gjosa, a Swiss-based water-tech company. The acquisition deal is in line with the French beauty brand’s sustainability goals that include a scientific-based approach to water management. The aim behind this latest acquisition is to innovate and use the varied applications of Gjosa’s technology for beauty.

According to Nicolas Hieronimus, Chief Executive Officer, L’Oréal Groupe, the brand decided on this deal as it will help bring sustainability directly in the services and products. It will integrate water-conserving technology into the latest formulations as well as Beauty Tech innovations. The idea is to introduce less resource-intensive and sustainable solutions into the beauty space.

In 2021, it had already collaborated with Gjosa to start the L’Oreal Professional Water Saver professional showerhead for salons.
