31 Mar 2022: Kaya, India’s premier skincare and largest dermatologist network-enabled brand, has launched a new campaign called “Beautiful is You”, where it speaks about beauty beyond gender and culture. The campaign focuses on giving employment and enhancing the skill set of transgenders. This new initiative is launched on International Transgender Day of Visibility, where Kaya reiterates that beauty is intrinsic. As a part of this event, Kaya has interacted with strong voices from the transgender community who narrated their stories about breaking stereotypes.
Even before this campaign was launched, Kaya in collaboration with PeriFerry was training transgender women with salon skills and was hiring them at different Kaya clinics. Along with this, Kaya is also equipping 20,000 transgender people with sanitizers as they are facing medical exclusion.
Kaya hopes that other brands and enablers are also inspired by this initiative and offer the transgender community with safe and meaningful sources of livelihood.
