Johnson & Johnson (J&J) has outlined a plan to invest $800 million in enhancing sustainability of products and health of consumers by 2030. The program called ‘Healthy Lives Mission’ will offer complete transparency on all the ingredients used allowing consumers 3t5rmake in`formed choices. It will use 100% reusable, recyclable plastic packaging and also have pulp-based packaging by 2025.
Consequently, J&J will replace non-biodegradable pumps with flip-top caps from its baby products under 500 ml in Africa, US, Europe and Middle East. Other changes, include replacing the black plastic caps from its Listerine range in Europe with clear resin ones for better recyclability; change to plant-based makeup remover wipes in North America and start using recycled plastic for its Aveeno bottles.
