Johnson & Johnson will stop selling its baby talc powder in the US and Canada after there were legal actions in the US against the company, affecting its sales.
This decision came after a litigation was filed for J&J’s accountability in cases of ovarian cancer among women who had been using this talc powder for personal hygiene. The company has been fighting to defend its name for years but after the latest news on the discontinuation of the talc powder it is evident that the company is backing down its defence against all the pending and future litigations.
COVID-19 pandemic has further reduced the sale of a lot of J&J products in the US and Canada where there’s lesser demand, and continues to sell in places that still have some consumer demand.
