Hindustan Unilever Limited appoints Rohit Jawa as the new CEO. He will take over the new responsibilities on June 27, 2023, succeeding Sanjiv Mehta, who will be retiring on the same day. Rohit Jawa has been with Hindustan Unilever Limited for over two decades and has held various leadership positions across functions such as finance, supply chain, and marketing. He is currently serving as the chief of transformation for Unilever in London.
In the new role, Rohit Jawa will be responsible for leading the company’s growth strategy in India and driving innovation to meet the evolving needs of consumers. Jawa’s appointment comes at a time when HUL aims to strengthen its leadership position in the Indian market and maintain its track record of consistent growth.
On this occasion, Jawa stated that he is very honored and excited to lead HUL and is looking forward to build the strong foundation and legacy of HUL. He is excited about working with the talented team to drive growth and deliver value to all the stakeholders.
In a statement, Sanjiv Mehta, the current CEO of HUL stated that it gives him immense pleasure to see Rohit Jawa take over as CEO of HUL, as Rohit is an outstanding business leader and has a deeper understanding of the Indian consumer.
