February 17, 2022: Henkel has acquired Shiseido’s Asia-Pacific Hair Professional business including, professional brands such as Sublimic and Primience. As per the deal, Shiseido will keep 20% of the share in its legal entity in Japan to support the business growth through its Henkel partnership.
With this acquisition Henkel’s hair professional business will see a massive growth, which is the part of its main strategy and portfolio-building. It will also become one of the leading players in the haircare sector, which promises attractive growth. In recent years, Henkel has also acquired three US companies, Sex Hair, Alterna and Kenra along with Nattura Laboratorios and the North American Hair Professional Business of Shiseido. All these acquisitions are in line with the aim to strengthen its foothold in the haircare segment.
