The 5th edition of the StyleSpeak Beauty Conference 2025 presented by Sothys Paris and supported by 7e Wellness held on the 7th and 8th April 2025 in Mumbai, India was a runaway success. Spearheaded by a conference advisory team of Vaishali Shah and Samir Srivastav, the conference featured elite industry experts. The two-day conference highlighted and educated the audiences on new developments in  the professional beauty industry.

An impressive line-up of 37 eminent industry leaders and dermatologists and skin experts focused on the latest developments in varied aspects of beauty business viz. treatments, products, gadgets and highlighted how management of beauty services aids business growth and ability to stay ahead of the curve in this competitive industry.

The highlight of the 2025 Conference was the Live Demos of Skincare Treatments that were at par with the trends. Exploring beyond traditional facials, the demos educated the audience about advanced skincare that utilizes modern ingredients with a rich influence of global trends.

The Sothys Glass Skin Ritual demo held on Day 1 of the Conference was a multi-step routine that offered hydration, cleansing and exfoliation. A layered technique, this approach supports healthy skin resulting in radiant and dewy complexion. Starting with double cleansing and exfoliation to promote cell turnover, a toner infused with glycerin or hyaluronic acid helped to provide moisture to the skin. Hydrating serums and moisturizers gave the skin a visibly clean and hydrated look. Performed by Sothy’s India Trainers, under the guidance of Disha Meher, Founder & Principal Consultant, 5 Elemeents Consultancies. This demo elevates the level of advanced skincare routine to achieve clear and luminous skin.

The popular and trending BB Glow Treatment by Krupa Vora, Cosmetologist, MUA, PMU was another highlight at the Conference that reiterated the importance of aesthetic skincare and its impact on skin. The benefits and dos and don’ts were explained to the audience through a live demonstration.

Targeting fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and uneven tone, this procedure aims to improve the texture of the skin. Further it promotes collagen production and restores the pH balance of the skin.

Another demo that grabbed the spotlight was an Anti-Ageing Facial Treatment  the power of the MyoLift microcurrent device with a live demo on a model by Dr. Pooja Gadikar, Senior Aesthetician & Cosmetologist, 7E Wellness India.

Besides live demonstrations, the Conference highlighted untouched topics like ‘Understanding Acne and Rosacea in a session led by Marisa Goel, Founder, Serena’s Salon & CEO The Skin Inn, and Jalpa Rana, Manager, Category Growth, Lodha Group. Often confused with and mis-diagnosed as Acne, Rosacea goes undiagnosed by skin therapists, This session was a mega hit as the audience were put to test by the speakers. Many misunderstandings were also cleared up, and at the session and best solutions for Rosacea discussed, allowing delegates to understand this common skin concern.

Skincare concerns which were experienced by   30 year olds are now a concern of younger consumers  in their  20’s . Problems like pigmentation, uneven skin tone have become rampant in young skin too due to factors like pollution and other environmental factors etc. Addressing the issue of ‘Early Skin Ageing and in salons to keep it from aggravating it further was discussed in length by Session Chair Nalini Kalra, General Manager, CVPro India, together with panellists Dr. Madhuri Agarwal, Founder & Director, Yavana Aesthetic Clinics and Neeru Radhakrishnan, Founder of Play Salon, Play Academy.

Taking the skincare topic forward was the technical session on Men and their Beauty Evolution chaired by Dr. Apratim Goel, CEO & Director, Cutis Skin Studio and featured panellists Dr Vinaya Bagwe, Skin and Spa Head, Enrich Salon and Shweta Ghadge, Head Coach, Skin at Lloyds luxuries. The session threw light on today’s men who are taking conscious steps to keep their skin healthy, and are open to  advanced facial and scalp treatments.  Indian skincare services are evolving,  with the growth of aesthetic treatments blurring the gap between dermatologists and salons. Chaired by Vaishali Shah, Founder and Director, LTA School of Beauty, the panellists Dr. Vijaya Salunkhe, Beauty & Wellness Industry Expert, Cosmetologist and Business Consultant and Sharmila Shetty, National Creative Director, Skin- Lakme Lever discussed  the reasons for the trend of aesthetic treatments and how salons can be made a part of the menu effectively.
