L’Oréal Chief Executive Jean-Paul Agon stated that the sales of cosmetics has picked up pace in China as countries have come out of the lockdown phase. Post the ease of restrictions owing to the pandemic, L’Oréal, which also produces Lancome creams and Maybelline make-up observed a bounce back in Chinese consumption by April, he further added. “We see in China that business is back to very strong growth in these latest ten weeks. We see also that in different countries, when lockdown expires and stores reopen, consumers are coming back,”.
