With the shift in focus from luxury to necessity and face masks covering the lips, sale for lipsticks has witnessed a dip, report shopping portals and cosmetic companies. Several make-up artistes including Stafford Braganza, trainer with L’Oréal Paris, India stated that eyebrow and eye make-up trends will pick up pace instead. The retailer brand, Nykaa observed that the eyeshadow category moved from Top 5 to Top 3 in the lockdown phase. Similarly, Snapdeal official spokesperson stated that the sale of lipsticks has been lower in the past two months.
