A survey conducted by KPMG revealed that Indian consumers are spending warily in the pandemic world. It also revealed that 60% of males plan to spend nearly Rs 5,000 in skincare and cosmetics category, as compared to females whereas the age group of 20-30 are enthusiastic about discretionary spending. KPMG India Partner & Head, Consumer Markets, Harsha Razdan says, “22% consumers in tier-II and 30%consumers in tier-III feel that their spending will either increase or remain the same as prior to COVID-19.”
