BCM Group, a diversified conglomerate with interests in real estate, hospitality, education, healthcare, and manufacturing, has announced the acquisition of Bengaluru’s five-star luxury hotel, The Golden Palms Resorts and Spa. The deal, finalized with World Resorts Limited, marks a significant step in the group’s expansion into the luxury hospitality segment. Spread across 15 acres, The Golden Palms Resorts and Spa will undergo a transformation to position itself as a premier wedding destination and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facility in India. BCM Group plans to invest in upgrading the property, including adding over 50 rooms and partnering with a leading international hotel operator.
Rajesh Mehta, Managing Director of BCM Group, expressed optimism about the acquisition, stating that it aligns with the group’s strategic vision. The strategic location of the resort, coupled with the growing demand for luxury hospitality and MICE venues in Bengaluru, makes it an ideal investment.

He said, “There aren’t many getaways in and around Bengaluru and large MICE properties are still lacking in the city. We thought this would be a great acquisition and this saves almost five years of our time,” he said. “Acquiring land and permits takes time. It’s perfect for social events and is strategically located close to Bangalore International Exhibition Centre and the stadium. It’s a bit run down so we will upgrade the property. We aim to make it one of the finest destinations in southern India.”
The Golden Palms Resorts and Spa currently boasts 150 rooms and suites, a spa, multiple dining options, a swimming pool, business center, and conference halls. With the planned expansion and upgrades, BCM Group aims to establish the property as one of the finest destinations in southern India.

In addition to this acquisition, BCM Group is also expanding its hospitality portfolio with the addition of 110 rooms to its Sheraton Grand Palace property in Indore. The group is also upgrading its Le Meridien in Surat and developing a new Taj hotel in Indore with over 450 rooms. According to Economic Times, Mehta was quoted saying, “Upgradation is in process with Le Meridien in Surat as well. By the end of this year, we should have a flag in place with 190 keys. The Taj hotel should be operational by 2028.”
