In a recent development, we have learned that the leading e-commerce portal, Myntra aims to collaborate with 500 D2C beauty and grooming brands. This development would be helmed under the Beauty Edit of Myntra Rising Stars programme. The initiative focuses on promoting made-in-India brands with unique solutions that fulfill the dynamic requirements of consumers. Under the initiative, Myntra will have a wide range of products, including science-backed products, Korean products along with vegan and natural solutions. It has already gained momentum after getting brands like Rare Rabbit, Snitch, and Fable Street onboard, who have experienced an average 2X growth.
According to Sharon Pais, Chief Business Officer at Myntra, there should be a good fit between the audience and brands in India’s burgeoning beauty and personal care market. India is the four largest in the beauty and personal care sector globally and by 2027 it is expected to touch USD 30 billion.
