Biotech haircare brand K18 has introduced the K18 Pro Artist Programme, a global initiative aimed at strengthening professional education for hairstylists.

The programme builds on K18’s long-standing focus on the professional channel and seeks to provide educators with greater opportunities to expand their reach, collaborate with peers and enhance their technical expertise. Rather than targeting aspiring stylists alone, the initiative is designed for experienced educators who are already delivering independent training programmes and cultivating engaged professional communities.

Participants will receive access to advanced technical education alongside in-depth courses exploring hair biology and science. The programme also offers product support, promotional opportunities and participation in brand-led workshops, campaigns and educational events, enabling educators to broaden both their visibility and professional networks.

Kathy Lewis, Senior Vice President of Global Education at K18 Biomimetic Hairscience, said the company believes many of the industry’s most significant innovations emerge from salon professionals who educate others within the community. She explained that the programme has been created to invest in these educators by extending the reach of their training, supporting the communities they have built and encouraging a modern approach to professional learning as long-term hair health becomes an increasingly important focus within salon services.

Reflecting K18’s biology-first philosophy, the initiative also encourages stylists to refine colour, cutting and styling techniques while maintaining the structural integrity of different hair types and textures. The programme further demonstrates how the brand’s peptide-based technology can be incorporated into professional salon services alongside the growing emphasis on hair longevity.

Initially launched in the United States, the programme is also being rolled out across several international markets, including Australia, the United Kingdom, the UAE, France, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and multiple Nordic countries.

K18 said participation will be determined through multiple pathways, including open applications, invitations to recognised industry trainers and recommendations from within its professional stylist community. The company said priority will be given to educators who demonstrate leadership, deliver independent training and maintain strong engagement with fellow professionals.
