Luxury wildlife retreat Juna Mahal in Ranthambore has expanded its hospitality portfolio with the introduction of a dedicated wellness space aimed at travellers seeking restorative and experience-led getaways. The launch of The Spa at Juna Mahal reflects the growing integration of wellness within India’s premium leisure and wildlife hospitality sector, where resorts are increasingly moving beyond traditional stay experiences to offer holistic relaxation programmes.
Located amid the natural landscape of Ranthambore, the new wellness facility has been conceptualised around therapies inspired by regional traditions, nature-based relaxation and slow-living experiences. The spa forms part of the property’s broader strategy to strengthen its positioning within experiential luxury hospitality.
The facility includes three treatment rooms, among them a private couple’s suite, along with separate sections for foot therapies, manicure and pedicure services, and specialised wellness treatments. The resort has also introduced curated programmes intended to combine relaxation with immersive cultural influences rooted in Rajasthan’s heritage.
Among the signature experiences are therapies inspired by royal wellness customs of the region, including Open-Air Champi Experiences, Royal Bath Rituals, Kansa Thali Ritual Corner. The property has additionally developed wellness-focused concepts such as “Mindful Nourishment,” which pairs spa therapies with curated wellness cuisine, and “Afternoon Leisure Poolside Peace,” a programme combining light refreshments with head and foot relaxation treatments.
Soumik Roy, General Manager of Juna Mahal, Ranthambore shared that the idea behind the spa was to create a more layered hospitality experience where wellness, local heritage and nature-based stays intersect for travellers wanting relaxing and meaningful holidays.
The launch also mirrors a wider hospitality trend in which luxury resorts, particularly those in wildlife and leisure destinations, are investing heavily in wellness infrastructure to diversify guest experiences beyond conventional tourism activities such as safaris and sightseeing.
