The Pune event brought more than 150 Maharashtra-based salon professionals together for technical demonstrations, colour education and a preview of the new collection.
For professional hair colour brands, introducing a new collection is increasingly an opportunity to engage with the people who will interpret those colours for clients. Godrej Professional used the launch of its latest collection, Majesté, in Pune to focus as much on technical education as on the new shades themselves.
The event brought together more than 150 hairstylists, salon professionals and salon owners from across Maharashtra. Led by Shailesh Moolya, National Technical Head, Godrej Professional, the programme included advanced colour demonstrations and technique-focused sessions aimed at helping salon professionals understand global colour trends and translate them for individual clients.
The technical sessions were followed by a high-fashion ramp presentation featuring colour looks created using the Majesté collection. The showcase offered a more visual interpretation of the techniques discussed during the event, while demonstrating how the collection could be used to create different colour expressions.
Majesté comprises three shades: Florence Gold, Roman Ember and Parisian Rouge. The collection takes its inspiration from precious gemstones and regal heritage. Florence Gold combines brown and gold tones, Roman Ember is a copper-brown, while Parisian Rouge is a reddish-brown with deeper garnet, wine and crimson reflections.
Moolya described the collection as an opportunity for stylists to work with distinct colour stories while combining technical precision with creativity. He said the three shades were designed to offer different expressions, from more understated looks to stronger, richer colour, and noted that the direction of global beauty is moving towards more individual and expressive colour. The brand’s aim, he added, is to give Indian salon professionals the technical understanding needed to interpret those shifts for their clients.
The education component forms part of Godrej Professional’s broader effort to upskill salon professionals across Maharashtra. Rather than limiting the launch to showcasing a new product, the Pune event placed training and technique at the centre of the engagement with the salon community.
For professionals working with colour, that focus is particularly relevant as clients increasingly seek more individualised results. Understanding how to interpret a trend and adapt it to a particular client requires technical knowledge alongside creative judgement—an area the brand sought to address through the demonstrations and sessions.
The Majesté collection is now available at leading salons across Maharashtra, extending the launch from the education-focused event into salon use across the state.
