What is BB Glow?

BB Glow is a semi-permanent skin treatment that uses microneedling to infuse pigment-based serums into the skin. The result? A radiant, even-toned complexion that mimics the effect of wearing a light BB cream—without actually wearing makeup.
Originating in Korea, this treatment is especially popular for addressing:
● Uneven skin tone
● Hyperpigmentation
● Melasma
● Redness
● Fine lines and dullness
The treatment offers immediate glow and, with repeated sessions, improves skin quality at a cellular level.

Key Ingredients in BB Glow Serums

Most BB Glow serums contain:
● Niacinamide: Brightens and evens out skin tone
● Peptides: Improve skin elasticity
● Hyaluronic Acid: Deep hydration
● Titanium Dioxide + Natural Pigments: Provide the tinted effect
● Plant Extracts: For soothing and antioxidant support

These are non-comedogenic and free from parabens and harmful preservatives when sourced from professional brands.

Step-by-Step: The BB Glow Treatment Process

Step 1: Consultation and Skin Analysis

Every session begins with a detailed consultation to understand the client’s skin concerns, sensitivities, and medical history. A patch test is recommended at least 24 hours before the first session.

Step 2: Deep Cleansing

The skin is cleansed with a gentle pH-balanced foam or gel cleanser to remove oil, dirt, and makeup residue.

Step 3: Exfoliation / Enzyme Peel

A mild enzyme or lactic acid peel is applied for 2–5 minutes to slough off dead skin cells and improve serum penetration.

Step 4: Neutralization and Toning

The peel is neutralized, and a balancing toner is applied to restore pH and prep the skin.

Step 5: Microneedling with BB Glow Serum

A nano-needle or microneedle pen is used to infuse tinted BB serum into the epidermis. The needle depth is adjusted (usually 0.25–0.5 mm) depending on the skin area and sensitivity. Each section of the face is treated slowly and evenly, ensuring the pigment is absorbed without causing discomfort.

Step 6: Sheet Mask or LED Therapy (Optional)

Post-treatment, a hydrating mask or LED therapy (usually red or yellow light) is used to calm the skin, reduce redness, and enhance serum absorption.

Step 7: Finishing Touch

A soothing moisturizer and SPF 50 sunscreen are applied to protect the freshly treated skin from UV exposure.

Post-Treatment Care

After BB Glow, clients are advised:
● No makeup or face wash for 24 hours
● Avoid sun exposure and sweating for 48 hours
● Use gentle skincare and sunscreen daily
● No exfoliation for 7 days
The glow is visible after one session, but 3–5 sessions spaced 2 weeks apart are ideal for long-lasting results (up to 4–6 months).

Who is BB Glow Suitable For?

BB Glow is ideal for:
● Brides-to-be
● Clients with dull or uneven skin tone
● People with mild pigmentation
● Those who prefer minimal makeup
However, it is not recommended for:
● Pregnant or breastfeeding women
● Clients with active acne, eczema, or psoriasis
● Those on blood thinners or retinoids
