The salon brand is offering full-size and compact franchise models as it looks to expand its presence across more Indian markets.

Hair Masters is looking to grow its presence in India’s organised salon market with two franchise formats aimed at different locations and investment levels. The brand, which began with a single outlet in New Delhi in 2014, said during a recent webinar that its network has now grown to more than 100 salons across over 20 states.

Founded by Danish Batra, Hair Masters has built its business around a broader beauty offering rather than hair services alone. Its salons cater to men and women across hair, beauty, skin, makeup and nails, with personalised consultations and professional expertise forming part of the customer experience. The brand also has training academies in Delhi and Chandigarh and said its network is supported by around 4,000 professionals.

Its larger format, Hair Masters Salon, is aimed at prime and flagship locations and requires a space of approximately 1,100 to 4,000 sq ft. The investment outlined during the webinar ranges from around Rs 75 lakh to Rs 1 crore, with a Rs 20 lakh franchise fee and 7% royalty.

For smaller locations, the brand offers Hair Masters Studio. The format requires approximately 500 to 1,100 sq ft and comes with an estimated investment of Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. The franchise fee is Rs 10 lakh, while the royalty is 5%, according to the company’s webinar presentation.

Beyond the physical format, Hair Masters is offering franchisees support across several aspects of running a salon. This includes assistance with identifying locations, operational processes, standard operating procedures, recruitment and staff training. The company also has a train-the-owner programme aimed at helping franchise partners understand the business.

Marketing support forms another part of the franchise model, covering local promotions, social media, SEO pages and advertising. The brand also said its salon operations use software and AI-enabled systems for reporting and tracking performance.

The service portfolio spans haircuts, colouring and texture treatments, facials, HydraFacial, Korean facial treatments, nail services and professional makeup. Hair Masters also highlighted its associations with international professional beauty brands and the use of premium-grade products across its services.

The brand is now looking at new markets including Maharashtra, Pune, Andhra Pradesh, Assam and Madhya Pradesh. It said franchise partners can come from varied professional backgrounds, with motivation and a willingness to participate actively in the business among the factors it considers.

With two formats catering to different space and investment requirements, Hair Masters is using franchising to take its salon model into new markets while offering partners operational, training, marketing and technology support.
