From 18-20th September, a 163 wellness properties in India will welcome guests to the World Wellness Weekend celebrations through luxury hospitality, wellness retreats and holistic wellbeing experiences.

As preparations gather pace for the 10th World Wellness Weekend, India is set to strengthen its role, and make a significant contribution to the global wellness movement, with 163 participating venues confirmed across the country. Led by Reena Sheth Regional Ambassador for India & APAC, the India chapter brings together an extensive network of luxury hospitality brands, destination wellness retreats and specialised wellbeing centres under one unified platform.

Among the participating hospitality groups are Taj Hotels (IHCL), with more than 80 participating properties, alongside Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts India, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt Hotels, ITC Hotels India and Fairmont. Their participation reflects the growing integration of wellness into premium hospitality experiences, offering guests opportunities to engage with curated wellbeing programmes.

India’s representation also extends to several of the country’s leading wellness destinations, including Dharana at Shillim, Six Senses Vana, Kshemavana, Meghavi Wellness, Amayah Wellness, Tre Wellness and Swastik Wellbeing. These destinations have helped position India as a hub for holistic wellness by combining traditional healing practices with contemporary wellness approaches.

The initiative has gained momentum across diverse locations, with participating venues spread across Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Rishikesh, Lonavala, Hyderabad and several other cities and wellness destinations. This widespread participation highlights the growing demand for wellness experiences that extend beyond spa services to encompass physical health, mental wellbeing, mindfulness, recovery and preventive care.

What makes this year’s participation particularly noteworthy is the diversity of organisations coming together under one global initiative. From luxury hotels and destination retreats to dedicated wellness centres, the movement reflects an evolving understanding of wellness as an essential part of everyday life rather than an occasional indulgence.

By bringing together hospitality, wellness and community engagement, World Wellness Weekend encourages participating venues to create accessible, experience-led initiatives that inspire healthier lifestyles. With 163 venues already confirmed, India continues to strengthen its position as one of the most active contributors to the global celebration, reinforcing its commitment to making wellness more visible, inclusive and accessible for communities across the country.
