The homegrown premium haircare brand plans to raise Rs 125 crore through a fresh issue, with funds directed towards a new manufacturing facility in Vasai, Mumbai.
Beauty Garage Limited, one of India’s most respected homegrown names in salon-grade and premium haircare, has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Board of India, taking a decisive step towards becoming a publicly listed company. The filing marks a landmark moment for a brand that has spent years building credibility, distribution, and manufacturing excellence within India’s professional salon ecosystem.
The proposed IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 125 crore alongside an Offer for Sale of up to 78,36,000 equity shares by promoter selling shareholders Jigar Babubhai Ravaria and Mahesh Babubhai Ravaria, the founders who have shaped Beauty Garage into the nationally recognised professional haircare brand it is today. Systematix Corporate Services Limited has been appointed as the sole Book Running Lead Manager to the issue, with Bigshare Services Private Limited serving as the registrar to the offer.
The proceeds from the fresh issue will be directed towards setting up a new manufacturing facility in Vasai, Mumbai, alongside general corporate purposes. For a brand built on the promise of in-house research and development, manufacturing integrity, and formulation quality, the Vasai facility represents far more than a capacity addition. It is the next phase of an integrated manufacturing strategy that has always kept product development, designing, packaging, and production under one roof, ensuring the consistency and quality control that professional salon clients expect from a brand operating at this level.
Beauty Garage’s commercial footprint at the time of the DRHP filing reflects the scale of what the founders have built. The brand reaches more than 13,044 salons through its distribution network, spanning 272 cities across India, establishing a pan-India presence that connects the brand directly to the luxury and premium salon professionals who form its core audience. This distribution depth is not incidental. It is the result of years of relationship-building within the professional salon community, where trust, formulation performance, and consistent service have earned Beauty Garage a position that few homegrown brands have managed to achieve in this segment.
The product portfolio that underpins this network currently comprises 133 SKUs across shampoos, conditioners, styling products, scalp care solutions, and hair treatment formulations, with an average selling price of Rs 2,951 per SKU. That price point is a clear indicator of where Beauty Garage sits within the market. This is a brand designed for premium and luxury salon environments, where the professional’s confidence in a product’s performance is as important as the client’s experience of the result.
What makes the IPO filing particularly significant for India’s professional haircare industry is what it signals about the category’s maturity. Beauty Garage has competed credibly in a premium segment long dominated by international names, and the decision to pursue a public listing reflects the founders’ conviction in the brand’s long-term potential and their readiness to build at greater scale.
The filing is subject to SEBI review. Further details on the IPO timeline will be made available following regulatory clearance.
