The car has long been a space of quiet refuge for many — now Hyundai is making that official. The automotive brand is launching a one-day Korean wellness pop-up experience housed inside its flagship all-electric SUV, the IONIQ 9, taking wellness innovation well beyond the walls of the traditional spa.

New research commissioned by Hyundai found that one in four Brits gets fewer than 10 minutes to themselves each day, 82% admit to staying parked for a few extra moments to enjoy peace, and over half say the car is one of the only places they can truly switch off. The ‘Spa in a Car’ experience is Hyundai’s direct response to that finding.

Arriving at St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London, on Thursday 11th June from 10am to 6pm, the activation invites guests to step inside the IONIQ 9 for a free 20-minute treatment guided by a K-beauty therapist from Fine Clinic London. Sessions include Korean head, neck, and shoulder massage and a Korean facial massage designed to ease tension and promote calm.

The IONIQ 9’s lounge-like cabin — featuring relaxation seats, sustainable materials, and a panoramic curved display — provides a natural setting for the concept. Available in six- and seven-seat configurations, it offers a range of up to 385 miles and ultra-fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent in as little as 24 minutes. Bookings opened on 28th May via Eventbrite, with free 20-minute slots available throughout the day.
