The Oberoi Group has introduced ASMI by Oberoi, a new wellness initiative that redefines luxury through balance, awareness, and personal transformation. The name ASMI, derived from the Sanskrit word for “I am,” reflects the idea of alignment with one’s best self. It positions wellbeing not as an indulgence, but as a conscious lifestyle built on daily choices that lead toward healthier living.

Grounded in timeless Indian philosophy and enriched by modern scientific practice, ASMI is designed around five interconnected pillars: movement, bodywork, breathwork, nutrition, and mindfulness. It draws inspiration from the Pancha Kosha concept, which describes wellbeing through five layers of human existence. Whether a guest seeks an introduction to holistic living or a deeper immersion, ASMI offers a non-prescriptive and personal approach to wellness.

The journey begins by supporting the body through mindful movement and balanced nutrition, followed by rest and recovery. Gradually, guests are guided toward awareness through breath and mindfulness, before engaging with the deeper meaning of living well. Even the ASMI cuisine concept mirrors this philosophy. It encourages mindful choices that nurture health and energy.

Developed under the guidance of Dr Anuradha Mathad and Bryan Hoare, whose combined expertise spans over six decades across clinical wellness, traditional medicine, human performance, and luxury hospitality, ASMI is both scientifically aligned and deeply experiential.

According to Vikram Oberoi, CEO of The Oberoi Group, ASMI represents a “living philosophy” that embodies the brand’s belief in creating meaningful experiences with lasting effects on the body, mind, and spirit. Chief Operating Officer Mohit Nirula added that the program turns wellness into a transformative, inclusive journey.

Every ASMI experience begins with a reflective assessment called I am Aware, helping guests understand their current state and design a program tailored to their needs. From in-room wellness cues and curated nutrition to bodywork therapies and guided mindfulness sessions, the experience extends seamlessly beyond the stay, offering guests tools to continue their progress at home.

ASMI by Oberoi will first be introduced across Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in India, before expanding globally in 2026.
