In a second visit, King Charles and Queen Camilla make a visit to SOUKYA, the International Holistic Centre in Samethanahalli, near Whitefield in Bengaluru. He had visited the centre in 2019. Run by Dr. Issac Mathai, one of the few Indians who was invited to the King’s coronation,  the retreat is famous for combining treatments such as yoga, meditation, naturopathy, and Ayurveda.

The couple spent three days at the holistic health facility, spending time enjoying rejuvenative treatments and walks in the serene settings of the retreat. As part of their customised program, mornings were spent doing yoga and relaxation therapies. They were put on a special diet as part of their holistic program. They also spent a lot of time strolling around the 30-acre campus and visiting their organic farm.

King Charles has been a great advocate of tradition wellness and Ayurveda. He had joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugrate the Ayurvedic Centre of Excellence at the UK Science Museum in London in 2019.
