In a second visit, King Charles and Queen Camilla take a wellness break at SOUKYA, the wellknown International Holistic Centre in in Bengaluru, India. The royal couple had visited the Centre for a restorative break in 2019. Run by Dr. Issac Mathai, who is King Charles’ Holistic Physician,  the retreat is famous for combining treatments such as yoga, meditation, naturopathy, and Ayurveda.

On this visit, the couple spent three days at the holistic health facility, spending time enjoying rejuvenative treatments and walks in the serene settings of the retreat. As part of their customised program, mornings were spent doing yoga and relaxation therapies. They were put on a special diet as part of their holistic program. They also spent a lot of time strolling around the 30-acre campus and visiting their organic farm.

King Charles is a great advocate of tradition wellness and Ayurveda. He had joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the Ayurvedic Centre of Excellence at the UK Science Museum in London in 2019.
