Unilever is planning to launch a new body-care product called Love Beauty and Planet to support the sustainable beauty movement started in the Middle East. The new product range aims to cut down its carbon footprint by 20% by 2020 through its eco-friendly formulae and ingredients.
The product range will have hair, skincare, oral, and skin cleansing products. All its ingredients will be sustainably sourced and will have fast-rinse solutions so that less water is used. They will use vegan-friendly formulations, including infused formulas with natural ingredients like lavender, coconut water, ylang-ylang, argan oil, tea tree oil, and shea butter. All these ingredients are independently certified by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), for vegan causes. Even the bottles will be sustainable- 100% recycled and recyclable.
