Sassoon announced the launch of House of Sassoon, in London. The store is set to open on 14th October at 16-17 Greek Street, Soho, London W1. In this new space, Sassoon will have a salon, studio, academy, and an exclusive members’ club and ambassador programme.
On the ground floor, the House of Sassoon will have a large reception area with a space for retail shopping that will be equipped with pro tools and educational materials. It will also host the Sassoon salon, done up in a simple colour palette and contemporary styling. Flowing out of the salon will be a multimedia theatre space that can accommodate 120 people. It will be used for hosting fashion and hair shows. The House of Sassoon will also have an open area for 20 fully qualified professionals and up to 20 diploma students. It will host a staff training programme where graduated students can work in global Sassoon salons.
On the other floors, they plan to have a beginner’s diploma course and the students will spend the final 8 weeks of the course with fully trained Sassoon professionals to get their final training. On the first floor, there will be classrooms with an open private decking space. One part of the floor will have beginner diploma students, while the other half will be exclusively for Sassoon members to work as freelancers. On the second and third floors, there will be purpose-built classrooms for diploma students as well as short-term advanced education students. The fourth floor has been made into a penthouse for the academy and salon administration.
According to Debbie Webster, Global Sassoon CEO, the company has invested £10 million in this new venture to curate a space for a community of Sassoon enthusiasts.
