Ranjith became the first make-up artist from the Telugu film industry to win a National Award at the 66th National Awards ceremony. The actor was conferred with the award for his outstanding work and flawless look in the 2018 movie Awe where he was the chief make-up artist. He is a veteran make-up artist as he is working in the industry for 17 years. In a conversation with Hyderabad Today, Ranjith said, “I am happy that our work has been acknowledged. And I alone can’t take the credit for this recognition because working for a movie like Awe that largely involves makeover of actors is not easy and without the help of other crew, it is no-win.”
