Raagjeet Garg, previously the Business Head – Consumer Products Division for L’Oreal Vietnam, has been named as Director – Consumer Products Division. He has replaced Pankaj Sharma, who has now been appointed to the position of Managing Director – Consumer Products Division, L’Oreal Australia and New Zealand.
This promotion comes after an impressive 20-year career at L’Oreal for Garg. Raagjeet began his journey with L’Oreal India in 2009 where he was responsible for the launch of Garnier Men. He then went on to develop the ecommerce business for L’Oreal in India, ensuring a double-digit growth through his tenure. He then took the position of L’Oreal Paris General Manager in L’Oreal Australia. In Australia, Raagjeet’s business acumen, management skills, and expertise managed to boost e-commerce acceleration, establish the L’Oreal brand, and set long-term partnerships with Australia’s retail partners. He then finally moved to L’Oreal Vietnam as Business Head – Consumer Products Division.
In his new position as Director of the consumer products division, Raagjeet will be responsible for the company’s growth strategies and initiatives including expanding the range of products and effective marketing and distribution. In a statement, Raagjeet stated that he was glad to return to India. He believes that given the potential of the Indian beauty market, L’Oreal’s researched and environmentally friendly products would fill a market gap in India. He hopes to improve quality, assure customers, and explore new opportunities in India’s diverse landscape.
L’Oreal India is the owner of many Indian makeup and beauty brands, including Garnier, Maybelline New York, and NYX Professional Makeup.
