A report from The Changing Markets Foundation, named ‘Talking Trash: The Corporate Playbook of False Solutions’ ranked P&G, Unilever and Colgate-Palmolive as the top 10 biggest plastic polluters worldwide. The report further stated that the beauty brands are blocking attempts to tackle the global plastic waste issue and taking advantage of the pandemic to further delay the regulations regarding the single-use plastic. P&G, Unilever and Colgate-Palmolive produces 7,14,000, 7,00,000 and 2,87,008 tonnes of plastic packaging respectively each year, which shows that their initiatives are not yielding the desired results.
