Backed by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, Mamaearth is a natural personal care brand led by Honasa Consumer has raised $18 million in the funding round led by Sequoia India. Returning investors like Sharp Ventures, Fireside Ventures, and Stellaris Venture Partners were also a part of the round. According to the report from the brand, the startup has also secured so far $5 million in four rounds. “Our vision is to create the FMCG conglomerate of the future by building brands that connect strongly with millennials and Gen Z customers using the combined power of digital marketing and e-Commerce at large scale,” Varun Alagh, co-founder and chief executive officer at Mamaearth.
