L’Oreal India’s Baddi factory in Himachal Pradesh has attained 100% carbon neutrality. This is in alignment with the brand’s vision of global sustainability and making all factories attain carbon neutrality by 2025. The brand plans to enhance energy efficiency and use 100% renewable energy so that its carbon footprint is negligible.

In order to achieve this goal, the Baddi factory replaced the traditional boilers with electric boilers to cut down diesel consumption to zero and also switched to a hydropower plant.
