L’Oréal Professionnel, the leading professional hair tech brand, will soon present the iconic Indian Hairdressing Awards in a reality series format on JioCinema. The competition has been in existence since 2014 to recognise professional hairstyling. The theme of this year’s competition is “Meta-morphosis”, which means real transformation.
This year’s competition was announced in August 2023 and received more than 100K entries. 89 regional finalists were shortlisted where they competed on technical skills. An esteemed jury of global hairstylists and beauty media experts looked into their competitions. Now, 12 hairstylists will take part in a mega-augmented L’Oréal Professionnel salon. The judges for the final round include, Min Kim, the L’Oréal Professionnel global color ambassador, Karan Johar, and many Bollywood celebrities. The participants will go through three challenges to test their creativity and skills where they will make real transformations through styling, haircut, and hair colour, creating unique looks. Both judges and consumers will score the participants and, in the grand finale, these participants will compete in front of a live audience that will be shown on JioCinema.
The winners will win a trip to Paris and also learn at the prestigious L’Oréal academy in Paris, Le Visionnaire.
