In collaboration with renowned designer Varun Bahl Couture, Lakmé Salon unveiled ‘Quintessential’ at FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week. Masoom Minawala was the show’s showstopper for this collection. Quintessential was all about upcycled embroidery and a celebration of the grandiose, extravagant Indian wedding’s comeback after two subdued years. The Lakmé Salon featured a myriad of looks for various wedding festivities, conceptualized and curated by the team of Backstage Heroes at Lakmé Salon & Academy.
The 1st look Lyrical was inspired by the three Princesses of Mysore. The hairstyling for this look included a traditional long pulyojada whereas the makeup included nude/pink lips, dark kajal, extended eyeliner, gold eyeshadow. The 2nd look, Graceful was inspired by Maharani Gayatri Devi. Hairstyling for this look included a long bob with beach waves with pink, shimmery eyes, winged eyeliner, glossy, full lips. The 3rd look, Beautiful Braveheart was inspired by Rani Lakshmibai. The artists went with open, free-flowing gentle waves, with a centre parting along with kohl, brown-black shadow.
