The Italian Embassy in Rome hosted an event with Giosun, a well-known advocate of Ayurveda and other Ayurveda experts to promote the ancient system of holistic healing and well-being. This event was a way to build cultural and economic ties between Italy and India. Prof Domenico Delfino, Dr. Nancy Joseph, and Dr. Andrea Geracci were some of the leading professionals at the event.
The summit had talks on awareness building, business opportunities, and regulatory alignment. Sreekanth Erepalli, MD, Giosun, who attended the event said that it was an enriching experience to speak about Ayurveda’s footprint in Italy and he was grateful to the Embassy’s proactive steps to promote this ancient wellness regime in the country.

During the event, the Italian Ayurvedic professionals along with India’s Ministry of Ayush and Ayushexcil announced plans to host an Ayurvedic seminar in September 2025. This event aims to raise awareness about Ayurvedic principles and their benefits as well as create a place for businesses, experts, and regulatory authorities to meet.
Prof. Domenico addressed the issue of getting Indian Ayurvedic manufacturers through the complex European regulatory frameworks. He offered to build connections between Indian manufacturers, Giosun, and the Italian regulatory authorities. This would simplify the licensing process and also ascertain due compliance, making it easy for Indian Ayurvedic products to enter Italy.

As part of the collaborative efforts, organisers agreed to share updates about the Indian Ayushexcil pavilion and Indian exhibitors taking part in Italian trade shows. This will help Indian Ayurvedic companies forge stronger trade relations and also help with future collaborations.
This event positions India as a leading country for Ayurveda and also offers Italians access to state-of-the-art wellness products from the ancient practice of Ayurveda. The collaboration between Giosun, Embassy, and the Ministry of Ayush, Ayushexcell, and Ayurveda experts is a huge milestone in global wellness cooperation. This event along with regulatory support, and trade initiatives will help Indian Ayurvedic manufacturers find a stronghold in Italy.
