WGSN, a New York-based trend forecaster and Cosmoprof Bologna in a 2019 white paper showed that Gen Z is a self-educated generation thanks to online tutorials. They research real-life reviews on Beautypedia or SkincareAddiction before buying a product. Many of these young ‘skinfluencers’ offer their informative opinions and are being picked up by established beauty brands for reviewing their products.
