New York is getting a new museum for beauty buffs and history aficionados, in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District next May. The flagship will commence with an immersive “Pink Jungle: 1950s Make-up in America” installation, which will explore the entrepreneurs, icons and artefacts of the decade. The exhibition will showcase vintage artefacts and robust educational information, alongside aesthetic spaces and unique events. Brand sponsors will play a special role in featuring never-before-seen elements of makeup history, such as Erno Laszlo’s collection of facial products used by Marilyn Monroe and Greta Garbo.
